At the Sink
Developing a cyanotype image is very easy and simple. All you need is are two (2) trays of suitable size for the paper, water, and a splash of hydrogen-peroxide.
- Fill a tray with tap water, make sure that is cool to the touch.
- Submerge the paper into this first bath.
- The unexposed cyanotype will lift from the paper and a bright blue with start to reveal-fill and dump this first bath as many times, till all the yellow has been removed.
- Fill up a new tray with water and add a cap full of hydrogen-peroxide. When the print is submerged in this bath, the blue with have a darker appearance and seem richer in tone.
- Wash the print for ten (10) minutes in running water.
